Abandonment.. is this what I did?

Married for 20 plus years. Kids grown and gone. I left the unhappy marriage finally. Mental abuse for years. One day I got up, decided I had enough, packed up a few clothes and just left. Have not been back to get the rest of my stuff. He and I have talked and he claims I abandoned him. I left him with the house, the cars, truck and 20 plus acres of land. I took nothing. Did I abandon him?
