Can CNA be charged with abandonment?

I handed in my resignation. The company has called several times but is not leaving a voicemail. They have called my husband asking why I haven't been into work ( the notice was effective immediately). If they do not acknowledge my resignation, can I be charged with abandonment for not being there for my shift?
