Im thinking about dating a girl that is totally opposite of me but it seems wrong?

Shes had a thing for me ever since elem. school, im 16 right now. I don't know if i should date her she likes reality shows(Jersey Shore, Teen Mom) and listens to Lil Wayne, Ke$ha, you know mostly mainstream. Im more of That 70's Show, The Simpsons, The Walking Dead and listen to The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala, more of Indie Rock. I like to have something to talk about in the future and i think it would be less fun. I never really liked this girl till recently but it seems wrong, i used to be shallow but i think ive changed a little, shes got abandonment issues and i think that's why she has weight problems. I don't know know what to do?
