He is 34, never had a serious relationship and has abandonment issues. Is he a lost cause?

I have horrible memories that come back to me sexual physical. No mom dad In prison and eventually killed himself Im 29 now but I don't buy that poor pity me crap. He needs a therapist ,no drugs ,and for someone to b strong and help him. But he has to decide that he wants to b happy and lead a normal life . Good luck
